John and I had the goal of completing the Inferno Triathlon (actually four legs) together this year. To do so we knew we needed someone to help with the kids for a whole day, since the event would take us over 9 hours to finish. We mentioned this to my parents and lucky enough they were able to come and help us out and spend time with us. Since they are now retired they even stayed a bit longer, almost 3 weeks! We were blessed by beautiful weather which definitely made it easy to find activities for us all to do! This summer was actually the hottest and driest in 100 years. It may not have been so good for the farmers, but it did make for an enjoyable weather (even though air conditioning would have been nice a few nights!!). We were also lucky enough to have my Aunt and Uncle, Ramona and Robert, and my Cousin Rachel pass through Switzerland the last weekend that my parents were here. That was quite special and we were able to do a beautiful hike with them. Every goodbye is hard since we never know when the next trips, but the time together was very nice!!
